Fire Clearance

In January 2005 a new state law became effective that extended the defensible space clearance around homes and structures from 30 feet to 100 feet. Proper clearance to 100 feet dramatically increases the chance of your house surviving a wildfire. This defensible space also provides for firefighter safety when protecting homes during a wildland fire. A Cut Above Tree Service, Inc. is versed in the current laws and policies affecting defensible space. A free consultation is always available, and if the client desires, a maintenance and pruning plan will be tailored for them.

Shrub Pruning

Hedges, Trees, and Shrub Pruning Benefits: Adds to property value, street appeal, overall property attractiveness.Promotes healthy tree growth.Problem trees contained and controlled, trees tend to become overgrown, overwhelming, and out of control.

Stump Grinding

Once a live tree is cut down, the roots soon stop growing. There is no longer the stimulation from hormones produced in the canopy to encourage new growth of roots. In most cases, the roots stop growing within a matter of days or weeks, and usually die shortly after that. Some tree species develop root sprouts, however, pushing out new stems from the root system. If allowed to grow, these shoots will produce the hormones and the carbohydrates the roots need to survive. There are several methods of removing tree stumps. Mechanical routing is the quickest method. Stump grinding machines generally operate with a large flywheel equipped with cutting teeth. The operator moves the cutter head over the stump, grinding it away a little at a time.

Consulatations

Trees, just like all living things, successfully subsist based on a variety of environmental and imposed factors. The evolution and progression of diseases in urban, as well as natural treescapes, are best monitored, diagnosed, and treated by an educated industry professional. The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) is a scientific and educational organization devoted to the dissemination of information in the care and preservation of all trees. A Cut Above Tree Service, Inc. offers consultations by ISA Certified Arborists.
